Revive Christian Counseling is a division of Revive Wellness Group. Revive Wellness was founded in 2015 by Dr. Zakk Gammon, as a faith-based counseling practice that provided help, healing and hope to people in Owensboro, KY. The goal was simple: to help people foster emotional, spiritual and physical wellness by living out Romans 15:13:
“May the God of Hope fill you with all peace and joy as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with confident hope, by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
The organization quickly outgrew it’s small, single-suite office on New Hartford Road, prompting a move across town to fit the growing needs of people in the community. At about that time, Dr. David & Ann Ralston, the founders of Life Training Christian Counseling, following God’s leading, left the Owensboro area to pursue full-time ministry callings. At that time, Revive Christian Counseling took over the space formerly held by LTCC to meet the demands of the growing practice.
As Zakk continued to serve clients in the area, he quickly realized the need for additional help to support the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the Owensboro area, and converted Revive into a group therapy practice, adding additional clinicians to the team.
Since then, Revive Wellness has continued to grow, serving hundreds of clients annually, including individuals, married couples, teenagers and children. Additionally, the organization launched CrossPointe Wellness, a practice dedicated to serving alcohol and drug-related addiction issues, The Owensboro Center for Marriage, a coaching and consulting practice who serves married couples, and ThrivePointe Online Counseling, an online faith-based group practice.
Now, the divisions of Revive Wellness Group calls 2817 Veach Road home, as we continue to serve the needs of the community.
A Personal Note from Zakk:
Our goal has never been to elevate ourselves or the work we do. Rather, we seek to empower our clients to lead fulfilling, successful lives in their working relationships, marriages, churches, and families. If we are never successful at anything else, we hope we’re known for walking with people on their journey and standing beside them as they move from healing to wholeness, and deepening their relationship with God.
It’s our highest honor to serve our communities, and we hope we have earned the trust of those we walk beside. God has blessed us in our continued growth, and it’s a privilege to know that each day we come to work to hold space for people who just need to know they’re loved, valued and have a purpose.
If you’re thinking about seeking therapy, we want you to know you’ll be in good hands here. We don’t have an agenda. We don’t push religion down your throat. We’re not here to make you feel bad about what you’ve experienced. Our sole purpose is to offer a helping hand on your journey – to know that you have someone in your corner and who is rooting for your success. And it’s my honor that you’re considering Revive Christian Counseling to be the place you find your hope.
Wishing you the highest and best,
